This episode is about a 19-year-old Lyon County man.Here is what the criminal complaint says happened.

  • A Lyon County sheriff's deputy was on patrol in Ghent for Belgian American Days at about 11:04 p.m. on August 1, 2026, according to the complaint.
  • The deputy was standing near the front of a bar, speaking with security, when he saw a man in a white T-shirt and black shorts carrying a Busch Light beer can.
  • The deputy knew from prior contacts that the man was not old enough to possess alcohol, the complaint states.
  • The deputy called out his first name. The man turned, saw the deputy and kept walking away, according to the complaint.
  • When the deputy called out again for him to stop, he dropped the beer and ran from the scene on foot.
  • The deputy saw him again later that night and called out for him to stop as he walked by. He ran again, the complaint states.
